A department dedicated to little ones
In 2016 we created Cheo Kids to break away from the mould of conventional surgeries, whose cold decor heightens the anxiety of little ones. What sets our clinic apart is the staff: specialists in paediatric dentistry and people with a genuine love for children, with a gentle hand that translates into quick, gentle treatments.
The environment
We offer children of every age a playroom with toys, colouring books, cartoons and age-appropriate video games. Two of the surgeries are dedicated to children, with colourful furniture and chairs made especially for them.
For anxious children
For those who feel strong unease, we offer the option of inhalation sedation — a mixture of oxygen and nitrous oxide that induces relaxation, used only when necessary and after a medical assessment.

The paediatric dentists
Useful tips for parents
- Rehearse the steps of the first visit at home, through play (act out the roles of dentist and patient).
- Do not associate going to the dentist with pain — avoid phrases such as “it won’t hurt”.
- During the treatment, speak up only when the doctor asks you to.
- Start early: regular check-ups every 4–6 months help the child get used to it.
- Do not use the dentist as a threat (“if you don’t behave, I’ll take you to the dentist”).
- A child who is used to the dentist rarely needs inhalation sedation — modern anaesthetics are usually enough.
- Good hygiene starts at home: regular, correct brushing (ask the doctor how it is done) and following the recommended treatments.
